Failing To Plan Your Exit Strategy is Failing Your Business.

In 1988, I moved to the Washington DC area and began a high-end residential remodeling business focusing on high-quality service. Over 90% of my work came from repeat and referral business, demonstrating the trust I developed with clients. That experience in managing customer expectations led me to teach clients how to monetize their business and to write a book entitled “Managing the Emotional Homeowner,” which has become one of the remodeling industry’s bibles and helped thousands of contractors improve the service they provide clients.

After more than two decades of working with professional businesses and contractors, it became abundantly clear that very few have any exit or transition strategy in place for their company. With that in mind, I help businesses with a road map of the three universal transition goals.

Universal Transition Goals

When do you want to exit your company?

To whom do you want to transfer the business?

What is your financial goal for your exit?
